Kikapu Garden is a community Social enterprise and also registered as community local intitiative which has been working since 2019 to improve the health of women and children under the age of 5 living in informal settlements through a focus on nutrition ( access to balanced diet food ), access health educational, information provision through community health workers and psychosocial support .

We do this by directly working with women and children in the informal settlements through the support of our local clients in our Green Soko Services who purchase our products and through the profits we are able to reach women and children and improve their well being through tailor interventions in improving maternal and child health.

Kikapu Aspiration

Maternal and child undernutrition and other related health care issues are responsible for nearly half of all child deaths globally. The first 1,000 days, including fetal life and early infancy, are key periods of growth and organogenesis. Our aspiration:

Is to see every woman access to maternal health care and support during their pregnancies and post-natal period especially pregnant adolescent.

Reducer the mortality rate of children under the age of 5 years through supporting their mothers with educative information via different platforms on nutrition, breastfeeding, child development and vaccination.

Every child is able to accomplish is 1000 days and second stage of all their birthdays with better physical, emotional and intellectual developments.

Foster partnership and be able to provide quality cost effective products through our Green Soko to ensure financial sustainability to enable continuous support in improving care to mothers and children.

Empower and educate women through micro-enterprises support to ensure health outcomes sustainability to the beneficiaries after program exit.
