“I joined kikapu garden teen hope program when I was 7 months pregnant, I learnt from the program as a young teenage mother the importance of balance diet, importance of going to the clinic as early as from 3months which I had neglected due to lack of knowledge and fear of stigmatization in the community. After 2 months of attending kikapu garden counselling and training session I gave birth to a healthy baby. As a first time mother I lacked a lot to care for my baby but KIKAPU GARDEN provided me with basic maternal kit.”

“Due to fear I had an infection that was not serve yet could pose as a threat to my unborn child, I was afraid to even ask if it was an infection because I was naïve and had no clue, but I was glad that during our training sessions we have the opportunity to open up and ask questions, I have learnt that in when pregnant anything alarming I should seek medical advice”

“I am happy to be part of teen hope program because during the sessions I have learnt that some of the information I hold are myths from the community. They have been able to make me understand what is true and what is not”
